Weather Forecast Widget

SmarterSign allows you to show live weather forecasts arond the world. This widget will include animated icons showing the weather condition as well as current temperature, and the high and low forecast for up to five days.

When you hover your mouse over the weather widget on your design you will see two icons in the upper right hand corner of the widget. The gear icon will open up the control panel for this widget. The pencil icon will allow you to edit the elements inside of the widget. Even though the underlying data source will be live data, you still have the ability to completely customize this widget to fit your design.

Configuring the Weather Widget

To configure the weather widget follow the steps below:

Clicking on the gear icon will open the control panel for the Weather Widget.
The first thing you will set is the LOCATION. For this you can use a zip or postal code or a city and country pair in the format "City Name, Country Name"
Select the UNITS you wish to show the weather (Fahrenheith or Centigrade)
Select the ICON SET which will be either static or animated
Pro Tip - For digital billboards, many jurisdictions limit the use of animation on these signs. Consult with your local rules to determine if you will need to use static icons in your weather
Choose the LANGUAGE you wish to display the weather in
When you are done click the APPLY AND CLOSE button

Editing the Weather Widget Layout

You can completely customize the layout of your weather by modifying the elements inside of the widget. To start this process click on the pencil icon in the upper right of the widget.

You can now arrange all of the elements inside of the widget in the same way you control any of you designs. You can change typefaces, move or delete items, and more.
