Creating and Editing Playlists
Playlists in SmarterSign all you to define what will be played on your digital signs and when. Each playlist will play through all of the items and loop back to the begininning during the date and time range you specify.
PLAYLIST EDITOR
To add items to your playlists simply drag the item from your PROGRAMS or MEDIA folders onto the playlist in the middle.
- You can schedule either PROGRAMS or MEDIA on your playlists. Use these tabs to view the folders of content available in your account
- These controls allow you to set the date range, time range, days of the week and the interval (Play every x weeks) for your playlist
You can select the INDEFINITELY check box to have your playlist play without an end date
- Each one of the items on your playlist will be represented in a row like this. For each item you can set a DURATION (always in seconds), and an animated TRANSITION IN that will be used each time this item on the playlist appears. You can also jump directly to editing the PROGRAM using the pencil
button, preview the item with the preview
button, or delete the item with the red "x" button.
- Clicking on the ADVANCED toggle below the thumbnail will allow you to override the schedule settings on a specific item. This can be used to limit when an item is displayed within the playlist.
- When you are done editing your playlist click the SAVE AND CLOSE button to save your playlist.
Pro Tip: You can change the color of the playlist to help identify or differentiate playlists
Adding a whole folder of content
Sometimes you may have a whole folder of content you want to put on your schedule. You can do this quickly by dragging the folder onto the middle of the playlist editor. When you do this you will need to set a transition for all items as well as a transition you would like to use.
