Reporting
The SmarterSign platform allows you to gather and report on proof-of-playback on your individual players. This feature is widely used by businesses who monetize the screen time inventory as a business model.
Playback Reporting
To access and generate proof-of-playback reports you will navigate to the PLAYBACK REPORTING item on the left hand side of the ADMINISTRATION screen.
From here you will be able to generate reports. Follow the steps below to generate a report:
- Select an AD CLIENT from the drop-down list. Note: You will need to have Ad Clients created in the system to see populate this list. See Below
- Give your report a REPORT NAME. Make it something useful so you can easily identify what the report is.
- Select a START DATE and END DATE for the time period you want to report on
- Set a TIME ZONE for the report so that it will be accurate to where the digital sign is located.
- Click the GENERATE button to create your report. The report will be generated and appear in the list below when complete.
Pro Tip: For reports that are for a long date range the time to generate the report may be significant. Please be patient while the report is generating.
Managing Advertising Clients
In order to generate proof-of-playback reports you will need to have ADVERTISING CLIENTS and associate PORGRAMS or MEDIA with those clients. To access these controls click on the ADVERTISING CLIENTS item on the left hand side of the ADMINISTRATION screen.
From here you will be able to create Advertising Clients and associate content with them. To create a new Advertising Client follow the steps below:
- Select an ADVERTISING CLIENT from the navigation on the left
- Click the ADD button and complete the details inthe form below
- Click the SAVE button to create or or save edits to an existing Advertising Client.
- Now you can associated content with this Advertising Client
Associating Content with Advertising Clients
In order to generate accurate reporting you will need to associated content in your system with the Advertising Client you want to generate reports for.
This tool will allow you to associated PROGRAMS or MEDIA with Advertising Clients. Click on the Adversing Client on the left and then associate content with the selected client. You can drag-and-drop individual content elements or drag an entire folder over to the left to associate the items.
Pro Tip: To remove content associations from the Advertising Client you can click the delete button on the right hand side of the item
